From 15 December, the number of treatments funded by us will change from 16 treatments over 52 weeks to 12 treatments over 12 weeks from the client’s first appointment with their acupuncturist.
Since 15th of December 2021, the number of acupuncture treatments funded by ACC have changed from 16 treatments over 52 weeks to 12 treatments over 12 weeks from the patient’s first appointment with their practitioner.
Additional treatment request can be sent to ACC by their practitioners, supported with clinical evidence. Patients who have a mental injury, serious injury, and who’ve recently had surgery, will be considered on a case-by-case basis and needs to be evident that there is a benefit to longer term treatment.
